Björkvattnet wind farm project kick off

InfraVia European Fund IV has acquired 100% of the wind farm project Björkvattnet from its original developers General Electrics, WindSpace and Vindparken Förvaltning.

The project is a 175 MW ready-to-build onshore wind farm with permits and contracts in place, to be equipped with 33 of the latest 5.3MW GE wind turbine generators. The majority of the power production will be sold to a subsidiary of Google, under a long-term power purchase agreement.

Construction started in July 2019 and is expected to reach completion by December 2020. Connection to the national 400kV
national grid will be made under the responsibility of the regional grid operator, E.ON, partially relying on existing infrastructure. E.ON, has started the connection works.

The Björkvattnet wind farm is located in Ragunda, in the county of Jämtland in central Sweden, approximately 470 km north of Stockholm.

Bjorkvattnet wind farm will be the first asset to join the newly created Treblade plateform.
